London Burns is the second installment in the Tales from the world of Adrian's Undead Diary series. The open-ended series chronicles new stories in the world of Adrian Ring, expanding on the original eight book series. The first volume is titled Unhappy Endings.

This is a followup to the side fiction "London" in AUD book 4. I am currently rereading the AUD series and took a short break after "London" to read "London Burns" so the original story was still fresh in my head.It picks up during the evacuation of the senator by Kevin's team but is told from the perspective of the Royal Marines. It's always fun to see the same story told from a different perspective. The story then continues on with the Marines and follows their story of being left behind to fend for themselves as they try to make it to the safety of Buckingham Palace.
I really enjoyed the different perspective and think any AUD fan will too. And if you really want to have some fun, listen to it on Audible. James Foster does a fantastic job with all of the different accents!

Good read as clarifying side story in Adrian's Undead Diary Universe. British perspective was different. Liked it as a stand alone short.

I just say enough about the story or author. Great story to go along with Adrian's story. ( which you must read if yoi haven't yet!
Nice bit of extra AUD to flesh out more of the story. I wish it had been longer but it is well worth the price. The Elmoryn story was good too.
This is a very good but kinda short story. Either way, it delivers on its promises with non-stop action from the first to last page.
Although I enjoyed the book, I was disappointed because I was expecting multiple stories about the AUD world, not just one. The second story is unrelated to AUD, and I didn't really enjoy it all that much.
Been a big fan of Chris's AUD work since I discovered it a number of years ago, and this volume filled in the fate of a group of characters I've been wondering about since I finished up the initial story. If you haven't read Adrian's Undead Diary I HIGHLY recommend it. It's a unique take on a genre that had started to get a bit stale and Chris is proof that there are phenomenal writers out there giving up nothing in skill, lacking only the right exposure in order to be a name on everyone's lips.
The only question I would ask now is.....where's Thomas? )
